Having Fun with Volleyball Drills
Volleyball drills are designed to create a winning volleyball team. However, it is important to remember that volleyball is still a game. If you create drills that are no fun, it can be real easy for your players to burn themselves out. They are playing to have fun. If you can give them that fun, while also teaching them, then you are going to be a very successful coach. Your team will enjoy coming to practices, and will want to show you that they know what to do, because they will respect the way you are teaching them. It is about showing your team

No doubt – the BEST thing about sports, other than the
thrill of victory, is being a part of a team. There’s
nothing quite like sharing common goals and memories
with your teammates.
Just by playing together every day teammates are able
to form bonds, but even if your team practices, eats,
lives and breathes with each other every day, it’s
sometimes hard to get everyone on the same page,
right?
I’ve played on teams where everyone is like family and
we would each move the Earth to help the others and
I’ve played on a team that was divided, cliquey and
cutthroat.

Keeping the opposition guessing is sure to win points!!
…If you become predictable, then a good opposition will know *exactly* how to position themselves to get the points.
One sure way to remain ‘unpredictable’ is to have a variety of serves available in your serves kit bag!

FLOAT SERVE…..
Float serves, although rarely generating an “ace”… can consistently be an effective weapon if a player can hit their
spots and keep their serves in.
The purpose is more often associated with placement and accuracy, designed to take the opposing team out of their normal offense.

Volleyball Drills for a Higher Jump
There are many volleyball drills available to build a players skill, teamwork, coordination, and just about every other aspect of the game.
